Rikie Lai

I am Rikie lai, a 23 year old graduate at Rhodes University completing my post graduates diploma in photojournalism. I was born and raised in Edenvale Johannesburg and am in my third year of this photographic venture.

I have always been fascinated by visual elements and have always admired beautiful scenery and impactful visual media. After completing my initial Bachelors of Arts majoring in Organisational Psychology and Philosophy, I already had two years within the journalism department. after my graduation however, I made the decision to act on my own passions and the continuous curiosity to the creative field and its creation.

after my first graduation my curiosity and excitement towards the creative world and the capabilities that photographers and other media practitioners could have through their own perspective and vision only grew to such a point as i wanted to chase the opportunity to learn about how to be able to be a photographer and capture my own perspective.
